C3 Golf Tournament Raises $14k For Children In Need
- On September 24, 2020
Despite COVID 19 challenges our second annual Calm Before the Storm charity golf tournament was a huge success! In total, 124 players and 13 sponsors who joined us helped raise over $14,000 to help local children in need! We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone coming out and helping us make this possible!
While our goal was to raise as much money for Ralston House as possible, we feel much more was accomplished. This event brought people together and helped spread awareness of the help and support Ralston House provides. This local non-profit organization provides a safe place for child and teen survivors of abuse to tell their stories and begin the healing process.
This year, Ralston House awarded us with a marble plaque award for the contributions and support from the golf tournament. Marbles have a long history at Ralston House and are one of the first things a child will see walking in the door. Each child who is interviewed may choose a colorful marble to place in the jar before they leave. It is a way of showing that many brave children have come to Ralston House and speak up each day about abuse to make the community a safer place, reassuring children and their families that they are not alone. The diversity in size and color of marbles is a symbol of healing and community.
We are truly honored to be recognized in this way and would like to thank all participants for helping us support such an amazing organization and cause!
Next year’s tournament dates have yet to be announced but we are hoping to raise even more money to support our local community. Stay tuned for details and updates!
